iGoogle is a service of Google, fomerly known as Google Personalized Homepage and Google IG. iGoogle is a customizable AJAX startpage much like My Yahoo. iGoogle supports the use of specifically developed "gadgets" to display content on a user's page. The gadgets are designed to be shared with family and friends.

iGoogle would be a benefical classroom tool because it offers many features that would be helpful for everyone involved in the educational field. It has useful features such as word and quote of the day, weather and news updates, email, youtube presentations and you can utilize the page to conduct web searches.

Teacher Tube provides teachers, schools and home learners an educationally focused place to upload, tag and share videso worldwide. Educators can attach files, such as assessments, lesson plancs and notes, browse through hundreds of videos uploaded by community members, join and create video groups to connect with people who have the similar interests.


Teacher Tube is similar to YouTube, but Teacher Tube has educational material that you can use in the classroom, provided that you have the accessibility to a computer and internet. Teachers can search the site for videos by subject area known as "channels" on the site.


Teacher Tube is a wonderful way to bring your classroom to life. It can be an effective resource in your classroom because what the site has to offer can enhance the learning experience for your students.

Learn out Loud is an internet tool in which you can browse over 15, 000 educational audio books, MP3 downloads, podcasts and videos. This internet toll would be an effective resource in education settings because as an educator you can search through the site and choose a subject that you can learn about and actually listen to.


LearnOutLoud an essential tool for the classroom because it offers a wide variety of educational materials that are relevant to the different ages groups in your classroom. For example, If I was teaching my 1st graders about "Dinosaurs" I would simply, click on the search engine for my age group, choose my subject area and the content I want to teach, then a variety of audio books, videos and podcasts all related to that content would pull up. Technology doesn't get better than this!


LearnOutLoud would impact student learning becasue it also provides many children books with CD"s that can be integrated into units for you to utilize in the classroom. There is a variety of subjects to explore and listen to on LearnOutLoud. An educator is bound to find something that they are interested in and use in their classroom to teach their students with.
